A bowel cancer screening test can save your life.

Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in Brent and regular screening can help prevent it or find it at an earlier stage when it is easier to treat.
Once you turn 50, you will be sent a free at-home bowel cancer screening test. As you get older, your risk of getting bowel
cancer gets higher.
The test can be done in the comfort of your home and only needs a tiny sample
of poo to test for signs of cancer. Even if you don’t have
symptoms, do your test and
return it.
If you have noticed changes in your stool that are not usual for you, such as blood in your poo, or bleeding from your bottom, tummy pain, bloating, or a lump in your tummy, or weight loss, or other potential symptoms that are worrying you, please contact
the GP practice as soon as possible.
